Does anyone have access to a pressure type brake bleeding kit?
I've just put new calipers on the front and while I was at it decided to do a full brake fluid change. Front bled fine with a solid pedal on that master cylinder but pedal feel on the rear master cylinder is still spongy. The near side rear seems quite difficult to bleed just using pedal pressure.

I managed to do mine with a one man bleeder last week no probs (tube with slit in the end).
Ive heard of some people having trouble if the bleed nipple is not at the top of caliper / drum. _________________ All the best,

Thanks guys,
Darren, the bleed nipples are definitely at the top of the caliper, only once have I ever mounted a caliper upside down and you're right, its impossible to bleed.
Mong, I'm just too bloody impatient for my own good. I've just ordered an Eezybleed from Minispares. The type you connect up to your spare tyre to push the fluid through under pressure.
At some point were going to change the complete braking system on Rich's Mini (yes it might actually stop for a change) so it'll come in handy for that too.
Cheers, Tony _________________ If it aint broke........break it! |
