OK guys, what are my best options (cost and ease) for changing my 2.0 pinto in my Ginetta G27 for a lighter more powerful engine. The engine is currently in pretty standard trim so if I'm going to spend some money I might as well get something a bit more modern and less of a cast iron lump.
I'd like to keep the Ford type 9 gearbox so availability of clutch and bellhousing bits to suit is important.

Ooh! what funny eyes you've got. I certainly fancy the idea of the XE in my G27, just need to talk it through with you how much work is involved and how much more I'll need to spend on all the ancilliaries to get it running.
See you at the next meeting.
