Tonight the 14th of May 2007 all the old committee members stood down.Many thanks to Dave Allison (chairman) and Tony Johnson (treasurer) and John Wilcox (events organiser) for their input over the past year.
The New committee consists of Alan Fixter (new chairman) and Tony Johnson (re-elected treasurer) and last but not least the lovely Joanne Parsons (the new events organiser)
So Troops lets start the new Year as we mean to go on and give a bit of support to the committee to help you all to have a good year

Club Finances discussion at AGM:
The club is still in a healthy financial situation so it was decided to suspend subscriptions for a further year. This will not apply to any further new members who will be asked to pay a "one off" membership fee of a fiver. This may discourage the increasing number of people saying they wish to join the club but never turning up after they get a membership letter from the treasurer to satisfy their insurance companies.
The club treasurer is also holding a charitable donation from last year. It was decided it should be split 50/50 between 2 charities, The Great North Air Ambulance and a disabled childrens care charity (can't remember the name) being promoted by Chris Birkbeck Rally School.
